Trauma Informed – We provide our services to businesses, governmental agencies, or non-governmental organizations that are interested in building trauma awareness into their operating structure. We help businesses, agencies, and organizations develop programs that incorporate a trauma informed care model for interacting with employees and the populations they serve.
Sex Trafficking & Exploitation - We provide training, consultation, and organizational structuring to professionals and paraprofessionals in the field of sex trafficking rescue and restoration. Using a trauma-informed approach, we assist others in learning how to structure and provide evidence-based, best practices care for employees and client populations needing services. We regularly train and assist organizations with improving the quality of care offered to survivors of human sex trafficking. The three day certification course designed by Dr. Simmons titled: Sex Trafficking & Sex Industry Exploitation: Understanding & Treating Multidimensional Needs of Survivors, has been viewed and utilized to train professionals in over 60 different countries.
Law Enforcement – We provide consultation to help agencies optimize their outcomes. In this career field maintaining the emotional & cognitive health of employees is paramount to reducing risk and achieving the successful application of policing to the general population. Employees are constantly working to create positive outcomes despite the inherent chaos & stress that comes from a number of frequently changing variables, expectations, and constant threat assessments. Law enforcement is primarily reactionary and that puts tremendous stress on the mind and body. This environment creates a pressure cooker of emotions that taxes normal adaptive functioning sometimes beyond our normal physical or mental capacity. on the mind and body. We can help agencies maximize their employees potential and improve their overall health by adjusting elements of the “culture” that their employees operate in. We do this first by teaching employees about the biology of trauma. We then use this foundation to apply a strategy of adaptation to the agencies interdepartmental interactions. We help the agency leadership craft an operating model that works with the neurophysiology of human interactions not against it. Lastly we will help standardize expectations, reduce stress, improve morale, and help employees learn how to stay in a state of self regulation. Our ultimate goal is to assist administrators to create an environment for employees that reduces mental health disorders, improves attitudes, builds capacity, and grows resilience within employees. The application of these improvements will help personnel more effectively tackle the experiences that law enforcement professionals routinely face.
